Step-by-step guide

How to Sell Pokemon Bulk

A step-by-step guide to selling your Pokemon bulk cards for cash: what to pull out first, how to sort and count, how to get your payout estimate, and how shipping and payment work.

What You Need Before You Start

Selling Pokemon bulk is mostly sorting. Set aside an hour or two for a medium-sized collection and gather a flat surface, a few containers or bags for category piles, the cards you plan to sell, and a device to open the Pokemon bulk calculator. You will also need a sturdy box for shipping, and our guide to how to ship Pokemon bulk covers that part.

Check the Submission Guidelines First

The guidelines decide what we can include in your quote, so read them before you sort.

Bulk Submission Guidelines

  • All cards must be Near Mint (NM). Exception: WOTC-era cards are accepted Lightly Played (LP) to Near Mint (NM).
  • All WOTC, Common, Uncommon, Rare, Holo, and Reverse Holo cards must be unsleeved. Everything else can be sleeved.
  • Cards must be English.
  • Free shipping covered for bulk quantities of 5,000+ cards.

Step 1: Pull Out Cards Worth More Than Bulk Rates

Bulk rates are averages. They work well for the large majority of a collection, but a single card can be worth far more than its category rate. Before you sort, flip through your collection for anything you recognize as valuable: older cards in strong condition, popular Pokemon in full art, graded slabs, or anything you have seen sell well on its own. Those may earn more sold individually, and you can sell the rest as bulk. If you are unsure, searching recent sold listings for a card’s name and number will tell you whether it is worth setting aside.

Step 2: Sort Your Cards Into the Calculator’s Categories

Make one pile per category so your quantities are accurate and your shipment stays organized:

  • Commons, uncommons, and non-holo rares together in one pile.
  • Holos and reverse holos in one pile. Holographic rares go here.
  • WOTC-era cards from the original Wizards of the Coast sets, kept separate from modern cards. Keep 1st Edition cards apart from Unlimited.
  • V, VSTAR, VMAX, GX, and EX cards, each in their own pile.
  • Illustration Rares, full art V and Trainer cards, gold and rainbow secret rares, Trainer Gallery and Galarian Gallery cards, Amazing Rares, Radiant Rares, and baby shinies, each in their own pile.
  • Graded slabs (CGC or PSA 8 and up) and new, sealed ETB sleeves.

Not sure what a term means? The guide to what Pokemon bulk is explains every category in plain English.

Step 3: Count Each Pile

Count each pile and write the number down. Tallying stacks of 50 or 100 is faster and less error-prone than counting card by card, and recounting very large piles keeps your estimate accurate.

When you enter quantities, there are two rules. For the four categories priced per 1,000 cards (WOTC Unlimited, WOTC 1st Edition, commons/uncommons/rares, and holos/reverse holos), enter your count in thousands: 3,000 cards is 3, and 1,500 cards is 1.5. For every other category, enter the exact number of cards: 12 VMAX is 12.

Step 4: Calculate Your Estimated Payout

Open the Pokemon bulk calculator and type in your quantities. Your total updates instantly. For example, with 8,000 commons/uncommons/rares and 2,000 holos/reverse holos, you would enter 8 and 2: 8 × $20 + 2 × $50 = $260. That is an estimate based on the current posted rates; see the full list on our Pokemon bulk rates page.

Step 5: Submit Your Quote

Click Export CSV to download your quote, then email it to pokeplebcollectibles@gmail.com. You can also click Email This Quote to start a message with your totals already filled in (still attach the CSV). We respond within 24–72 hours.

Step 6: Receive Shipping Instructions and Ship Your Cards

After we confirm your submission, you will get shipping instructions. Pack your cards using the steps in our how to ship Pokemon bulk guide and email us your tracking number. Shipping is covered for bulk quantities of 5,000 cards or more.

Step 7: Get Paid

Payment is sent via PayPal Goods & Services or Venmo Goods & Services after your submission has been confirmed. Payment via Friends & Family is available, but only after the submission has been received and verified.
